Symbian belle FP1 problem with xplore crashes and bricks

as the title suggests the new firmware by nokia feature pack one for nokia 701,700,603 and soon to be released 808 pureview are having serious problems with xplore it refuses to open in many cases and if it does open it crashes and stops the phone from booting, fix this quick before you break all the phones !

I know LCG given up releasing new versions

but, just in case you wanna make your faithful Symbian users happy again, please solve this issue. I assume it's not a big deal, just to rewrite UI, as it is not using Avkon, but QML.

I don't think it needs the ui re-writing as other avkon apps still work .

We're checking this, but it's mystery why it doesn't work. All other our apps work there.
And Symbian is so unfriendly for developers, that it may be impossible task to solve. We'll see.

Hi to all! I bought my first Nokia - first phone with Symbian, about 3 months ago. I'm not very happy about situation with leaving developers. I understand that some other platforms are more interesting now. But Symbian is still not dead and has potential to earn some money i think. I must also say that X-plore is the best file browser for Symbian, so don't let it in this situation please...

It is to do with the QML on the userinterface as fp1 is a step towards the complete switch to QML userinterface.

no pushing will make it better. I'm sure that they'll release new version or any kind of fix and let us know if so.

We have Nokia E7-00, so we'll wait for Belle FP1 to be available here as first step.

I think I can help for getting Nokia 700 / 701 from Nokia for you to release fix as fast you can. E7 will not receive full FP1 update, just modified version, as it has different (slower) CPU so no all updated things can be used here.

Should I contact them for you? I am from Slovakia, same as you

so phone should be from Slovak Nokia too...

thats true.fp1 will be available only for 700 701 600.not for E7.

there is a filemanager that is 99% look like x-plore." dynaFile v1.2". and it has same prob with belle FP1.

perhaps this bug is bcs xplore dnt use system font to show text and ...

anyvay, thanks for all your great work on x-plore mainly. It did Slovakia a well known country in Symbian community.

It was some strange problem in exe loader. No changes in UI, just some library incompatibility.

it happen when i start instalh apps with xplore.
soorry my english is not so good.

i open my xplore---go to a folder that contain sis file---tap to start instaling--after instaling finished from on top of the screen a message show that application instaled----after that my phone hangs in xplore screen and need to removing the battery ....

i think there is a problem beetwin my sweety xplore and f*u*c*k*ing belle FP1 notification.and im so sad that upgraded my phone to fp1

hmm, did you just update your device, or did a complete format of phone? it can be a problem... but anyway, did you try to install apps from original file manager that is already in Nokia phones? try it, what the result will be. I'll try to help you.
It should not be an X-Plore issue, as noone reported me such behavior, and I also haven't seen anything like this on my test phones. So, please test, and if it is still making problems, tell me whether you have hacked phone - via patch or via installserver.exe in c sys bin.

Okay, we were testing with @SATANICSPIRITS, and this definitely is not a an X-Plore problem. It could be installserver patch issue (while phone was hacked).
