Hello!

I use PM with two email accounts.
Googlemail.com and t-online.de, both over imap.

Getting mail over the gmail-account always works properly.
Getting the mail from t-online often leads to problems.
When getting the whole mail pm often gets stuck. The green bar stops after it has reached about 50%.
When I exit pm and start it again, than the mail is loaded.

Do you know this problem?

Edit: I'm using PM with Android.

No idea what is problem. You may enable diagnostic in menu, and check log file what's wrong, or post end of log here for checking.

I sent the log-file via pm to your support.
Maybe they are able to find something in it...

Well, your log file shows normal download of data from server, followed by sudden Time-out. Somewhere on the way expected data flow stops.

And the problem may be anywhere from mail server, Internet provider, phone's system, up to ProfiMail. We hope problem is not in ProfiMail.

Shame, but we're unable to create testing account on t-online.de, it's possible only from inside Germany. Otherwise we'd test on this server.

All my other accounts work properly with pm, only with t-online these problems appear, although it works sometimes...

But only when using pm. All other mail clients like Outlook or Firebird or the Android-Stock-Client work with the account without any problems.

Ok. We're working on a new ProfiMail for Android, all connection code will be different, so hunting this occasional problem now with ProfiMail 3.x doesn't make much sense.

Is there already a time-frame when you will bring out the next version?

Could you also give us an idea of new features in it. Will it have html?

No date given.
It should be rewritten in new standards - better touch control, support for large screens, html emails, etc.

html email will be nice.

Hope you don't change the overall look and feel though. That's one of the main things I like over K-9 and others.

It should be on par with the whole Android. And should follow it's guidelines.
Like K-9 mail which I was forced to use instead of PM on my newest device. PM just doesn't work properly.

I like the fact I can have a small font size and see the last 15 emails received or all my IMAP folders on one screen. K-9 *looks* ghastly.

Well on current iteration PM looks just worse. And works worse, what is actually more important.
But I get your point.

I think it looks o.k. But it doesn't work properly all the time...

It actually looks good on all the devices besides mine Xperia S.

Anyway, because of the problems I was forced to use K-9 Mail and it's a brilliant app actually.
I don't know if PM will be better than that in the future, I would be glad to come back
but it's just not competitive anymore.
Just to note, X-Plore is amazing app and great product so I still believe in LCG creativity.

After a little more of testing I am sure, the problem is caused by PM.

Any other App works without any problems with the account, desktop programs as well (with same settings).
Only PM has problems getting the T-Online-Mail over imap. The problem seems to occur with html-mails, only.

Maybe this problem is caused by the folder structure of t-online (all folders are sub-folders of "inbox")?!

By now I am using K9 since a few weeks without problems but I still like PM more.
Is there a chance my problem will be solved in the announced new version of pm?

Most likely such problem will be solved. All code will be rewritten.
