3.48 - "new Message Notify" is shown but disabled

After updateing to 3.48 the new message notification (that blocks the battery bars on s60 5th btw) is shown despite being disabled in Configuration->Tweaks

That's a little bit annoying

espacially since it also shows "0" new messages (and thus is visible all the time)

Update: Oh and it also is shown in other apss e.g. overlaying the notifications in gravity. very annoying!
I relly love that you give the option to revert back to previous version in the update dialog!

I want it enabled, and had it enabled previously, but in this version it shows even if there are 0 messages, while before it was only if there were any messages.

And I agree that covering the other notification icons (not the battery bars on 3rd) is annoying, though much less so if it's only there when you have messages.

No problems here, the icon disappear when not having any email unreaded, as before.
I cannot find any notable changes although ...

same on Windows Mobile. Very annoying since the icon is not transparent and looks very 'ugly' using WM OS. Admin, could you make corrections on WM OS incl. to make the PM todday plugIN/ notification icon transparent?

I did a hard reset for other reasons on m C6-00 and the problem disapeared (even though I imported the settings from before the hard reset)

I understand that this solution is not acceptable for many

Yes, confirm this solution... After HR problem disapeared... Nokia E72.

I too confirm this problem on Nokia 5800. Even if I have no new messages the icon is still displayed (even if I have it turned off).

Is there any timeline for a fix? Please?!

Actually from the quantity of reports from different people with different phones it would imply that it is relatively easy to reproduce.....although fixing it might be another question ;-)

Keep in mind that that bug is very obvious. I don't think that there are many responses for a bug that visible

don't forget you can easily revert to the previous version via the update dialog

Well, as no info from admin so far (which is quite strange) I decided to downgrade (using Tools > Program update) to the previous version 3.45, and no more this message notify now. Then just for fun decided to upgrade again (using Tools > Program update) and no more this message notify now too, so either this fixes something or LCG have silently uploaded version 3.48 new build, anyway so far all OK with Nokia E51.
