I would like to have the ability to write in HTML. I hate seeing my replies show up in simple text.

1. PGP/GPG support (like enigmail)
2. a rule that checks the active profile, so that one can use diff rules at night/in a meeting (esp if rules play a sound)
3. ability to control volume for playing sounds.
4. general ability to have multiple actions per rule (first sets volume, second plays sound)

5. better debug-logging that doesn't wipe the logfile from disk when a new connection is made, thus losing the logs
that may tell me why PM has stopped connecting hours ago. I often realise that only when a new update (manually triggerred)
downloads many mails from the last few hours, when my 'auto-update time' is set to 8 mins !

Rules suggestions:

1. Conditions: Add a "NOT" condition for "In To:" and "In Sender:" conditions.
2. Conditions: Add "In CC:" condition
3. Actions: "Do not Download" (used when the account is set to download by default)
4. Actions: "Mark as Read"

Thanks.

"Do not Download" = "Get header only", it's already there.

Thanks guys for the great program! =D>
It works great with Latin-based languages, but could be significantly improved for other languages. For example, letters, written on Cyrillic in ProfiMail, are several times larger than the same letters created by any other program. Also, many e-mail clients (Outlook, for instance) do not work correctly with such letters (they are not quoted as cite in the reply, etc). I believe it is because of this:
Code:
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

But, usually, desktop clients use this for letters on cyrillic:
Code:
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

Is it possible to add this encoding (or MIME encoding - it is quite popular as well) to the program? It would be great improvement for those, who use it with other, than English, language. [-o<

How "larger"? If you use ProfiMail's font, then cyrillic is same size as latin. If you use system font, then size depend on phone's font.

quoted-printable encoding is standard for mail, and Outlook certainly understands that.

Say 9 Kbytes instead of 2 Kb compatible size letter sent from a desktop. No fonts and other fancy staff - ProfiMail doesn't support it.

And yes, quoted-printable encoding is ONE of the standards. I don't know why, but it is not popular for extended charsets, like cyrillic.

If you give me your e-mail for test, I'll send you three e-mails: one from ProfiMail with only latin characters, second from ProfiMail with only Cyrillic characters (the same quantity of characters) and third the same Cyrillic letter sent from a desktop. Would you like to have a look? You can also try to reply on the second e-mail in Outlook and see that my letter won't be marked as cite there.

What is the point to send them by web form? They should be send by ProfiMail and desktop client directly.

Thank you very much. 3 letters have been sent to this address. They are all contain the same amount of symbols (one hundred).

Using a rule is not an option for me as I want to use (other/move) rules.

Full Notifications (sound/vibration, LED, "popup" in standby-screen/"desktop") also
when a message is moved by a rule.

To not break the old design*, I see two ways how this could be implemented:
  • a tweak/global setting "notify also if mails are moved" (prefered)
  • implement a new rule action "move to folder and notify"

* Every (PC) mailclient I used until now does notify also if a message is moved by a rule.

* in dependency of the settings "Get entire message" etc.

Is there something planed for (near) future release(s)?

Thanks!

I'd be very happy to have a threadded view on my Mails in some IMAP-folders I use for mailinglists.
Are there any plans to add this yet?

When replying to a message it would be nice to not have the ">" indenting the original message. I want it to be formatted just like how it treats forwarding a message.

If people really like the ">" indent then could you please make it an option.

thanks

AGREE!!! I can't believe with all the awesome features this program has, it's stuck so far back in the dark ages in this respect. This is the only thing that's keeping me from buying it. I'll happily stick with the pocket outlook if there's really no way to configure this not to indent quoted messages.

Selectable multiple identities (e-mail address + name + perhaps signature) when sending/composing a message.

i have been using Profimail for about 15 months on my Nokia E71x and have some requested features:

please provide the ability to choose which headers are displayed by default. i am often one of several recipients, either as 'to' or 'cc' or sometimes 'bcc'. I know i can use the display headers feature to individually examine each message, but i'd prefer being able to turn on display of 'to' and 'cc' headers. it would be okay to scroll through list of addresses, perhaps placing them on a single line per header, and using horizontal scrolling.

When forwarding a message with HTML format, it would be great to keep the HTML format. At present, profi strips it to plain text.

Don't like the > inserted before each line in reply. Please let me turn this off.

Some attachments are shown with a phantom duplicate that is partially grayed out. if i click on the phantom, profimail crashes and exits. this is not due to the message - these messages and their attachments display without the phantom in other applications (gmail, outlook, lotus notes, etc.)

can I please do HTML signatures?

Thanks for considering and hopefully incorporating these improvements.

Another vote for including preset field "ReplyTo" in account settings.

Hello, I also need to set "reply-to" to one of my account. Interesting, that Profimail doesn't have it!

I think i can pick one of several different 'personalities' with current version of profimail.

When composing a message, I can select the desired email account to use, from the menu key.

You can choose which signatures to associate with each account when creating or editing signatures. Or from the menu when composing the message.

Hi,
I need to one of the site admins read this and reply the answer to my e-mail: mr.sahm@gmail.com
i'm from Iran, and I have an expertise in symbian programming specially in s60v5, and I can speak in 2 languages, persian and arabic.
in my country there is no way to pay online, because of poor Internet Technology and national sanctions. know the cost 28$ is nothing for the excelent software of profimail, and hereby I congratulate you and your team.
I can translate profimail in arabic and persian and prepare the profimail in language persian and arabic within a SISX file for installation for your persian and specially arabic cutomers. but in this matter I need full access to profimail which means I need the registration key of profimail for my N97 device with IMEI 356064038779134. if you mail me the registration code, in exchange I can prepare arabic and persian profimail installation file. you must be confident that if I could pay online for catch profimail registration key, I didn't hesitate.
also I can be your reseller aganet in Iran, so you can add Iranians to your profimail customer zone.
in other hand probably I'll haven't the capibility to pay you untill I live in Iran :D, which means if you hand over the registration key for my device, you never lose your money!

thanks alot at least for your excellent software which runs in trial mode.
I love you
Seyyed Amir Hossein Motaman (SAHM)
