I would like that Profimail turns on/off the data connection (wifi or 3G), after the sync to save battery.
We can be able to set the period of time that Profimail will manage our network connections to sync our emails.

It is, when you disable Keep connection option. Of course, IMAP IDLE can't be activated.

Next request: ability to go to the next unread message in the mail-overview-screen.

This is possible. Not the html-logo but the rest. I just press the enter-key on my Nokia E71 at the end of a line. :)

Another vote here for having ProfiMail taking over as the default system email client (ie, shortcuts, clicking web links, etc)

Great job so far though!!!!!!

Seems i was initially a bit rushed going through the signature menu. Thank you for the quick response, i went back into the menu and realised i was only editing the title of the signature, not the body. :p

Another request: show session and total traffic at the same time.

Maybe like this: session (total)

Menu>tools>data counter.

Both forms are present there.

I would like to request to have the pencil option to see the bytes transferred similar to the functionality of pencil key in Slick.

Ok, but maybe both counters could be visible while sending/receiving emails.

Another vote for including preset field "ReplyTo" in account settings.

Hi All,

Version 3 is a great improvement but for serious business usage i think that also Return Reicepit is a must...

(Return Reicepit request and Reicepit Generation when receive a mail with a request).

With this addendum the program will be perfect.

Thanks LCG you make mi nokia perfect....

I really hope LCG will put its time into something else because if they make this i want a setting to turn it off like i do in all my other clients

The sender doesnt have to know that i read the mail, i just never want that to happen at all. if i want it to happen i will send him a reply

I never seen by the way in any business emails i do that r.r. is used any where.

Just mentioned this in a separate thread, but then realised I should perhaps have put it here:

I'd like to see Profimail use the Symbian-compliant method of notifying of new e-mails (ie. the "@" symbol on the standby screen).

The current non-Symbian compliant overlay isn't readable by other applications that look for new e-mail notifications (such as cClock).

Steve.

Hello LCG,

Thanks once again for making PF available, it's a great piece of software.

What I would like to see in the next update is an option to specify a Spam folder (just like the way we can specify a Drafts, Sent, Trash & Root folder name).
This would be really useful for mail accounts where you can filter Spam simply by putting moving the mail in the Spam folder (it works like that in Gmail...).

Simple but most wanted request: please bring "Download max. KB" back into ProfiMail.

It's VERY annoying that i have to download a full message while i am on an extremely expensive roaming link, ridiculous that this was removed.

Secondly : Option to retrieve e-mail in plain text only, without all the HTML jitter. HTML is not really (or really not) needed and is only increasing data traffic.

Congrats, great program.

I would make the configuration options related with notification and alert (tone, volume and vibration) specific for each email account. This way people could configure for example no alert for not important accounts (for example personal ones) and loud alerts for important ones (maybe business ones).

Regards

Alberto

Currently in PF when replying to a mail, the posting style adopted is top-posting (writing the reply above the original text).

I would like to see bottom-posting implemented (writing reply below original text, so one can do inline-replying if preferred), and since people may not be aware of posting-style, leave the choice to the user in the settings.

"fetch next 300 headers for imap folder...".

I have around 400 folders with several hundred messages containing documentation and correspondence of current and past projects. Quite often I need to check how something was handled in a similar project couple a years ago or who was I in contact with.

"u" (update folder) with a pre-configurable amount of headers is something that I would really appreciate. Current options like limiting globally by age or waiting to fetch all (for example) 3000 headers for a folder are a bit inflexible.

So I'd really like to have an alternative for "u" (like "y" or ...) that when first pressed, fetches the x-hundred most recent headers in the folder, and when pressed the second time, the next x-hundred and so on.. Kind of like 'pagin'.

I'm currently just trying out Profimail (s60) and apart from the above I think it is a superb imap client. I hope you consider the suggestion as I think it should not involve very complicated design changes.

Currently my preferred way of using Profimail is to have it fetch INBOX full bodies and manually fetch (all) headers in other folder when needed.

Hi, I'm using Profimail on my Nokia E66 - works quite well, but I have the following whishes:

- Possibility of assigning the shortcuts myself by menue
why? [shift]+OK to mark a mail does not work - I have no SHIFT key!
the # key is used for page down ...
but I do not use the marker function (key 3) - and would love
to assign key 3 to "mark a mail" (what is [shift]+OK now)
This way the users could assign the functions to
the (existing) keys of their phone?

- possibility to access to a MS Exchange account

- key to see on a screen the (in the popup) as new shown messages

I do not know if my whishes are too big, I hope the best ...

Greetz, Andy

Unfortunately this has been banned from the "new" Nokias
(see here -> below the pic of Navigation key: http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/008/09/nokia_e66_review__business_in_perfection.htm

At least I have no shift or pencil key on my E66 (the N73 had a pencil key ...)
