What about adding a 'user manual' option just like profimail.. so that new users finds it a bit easier to work with Lcg jukebox

If possible, i think it would be cool to have some sort of "radio" button & "music player" button so you can switch from one to other.
This way you can have a playlist of all your radio favourite stations which makes it easy changing stations & then you can press music player button and have your mp3 playlist loaded where you left it instead of keep loading mp3 playlists when want to listen to mp3's and then have to load radio stations playlist or individually.

Maybe its only me that thinks this is a good idea? anyone else agree??

THANKS!

I strongly agree with you on this point.. lcg admin.. wats ya say??

An option to change the playback speed would be my first request. I use it for audiobooks and podcasts, and sometimes they can benefit from being speeded up. Currently, I use Goldwave to do the change on my PC for longer projects, but it would be way easier to be able to do this on the fly. I found a Windows mobile app (winvibe) that does this, but there's no S60 port. It would be such a useful feature that I'm considering switching phones. . .

LCG, please save me from having to give up my Nokia!

Add a Playlist button to the main screen. I load the playlist often, and going to the menu all the time is fiddly with the touchscreen. A button would be a lot easier.

Change the colours! The thing look hideous. I guess this is not a big thing, but it does look pretty horrible.

add up maximum volume for LCG Jukebox! THe current max volume is not the loudest for S60v3 phones.. So please add up! Maybe 30 more or 40..! It will not damage the phone/stereo coz there is a Video Player that has 3x max volume than the LCG jukebox and its very loud and still has good sound quality. No crashing!

Feature request: Sort current playlist.

I mainly listen to podcasts. My wish is to sort by (file) date, but I see value in sorting by any Tag or file attribute. E.g. maybe listen to all the short content first, so sort by Play Time.

Background, how I use LCG Jukebox on my E90:
1) I copy many podcasts to a specific Subdir on the MemCard (~100MB/day)
2) Reset Playlist {4/Select Subdir}
3) Remove files as heard {Shift-Backspace}

I'd like to add a step after "2" of "Sort by Date/Artist/Title" or else "Sort by Artist/Date/Title"

Thanks in advance

in the distant future, maybe sid or/and pt3 support :D ? I think that there're open libraries for the SID and the AY-3-8910 chips. After all, your jukebox is the only chiptune player :D Thank you for your work!

When you're listening to music on good volume, and someone calls, the ringtone blasts out at much higher volume... I'd like to see LGCJ stop playing when call arrives and resume it after. Also, on quit, "are you sure" would need an option to be disabled, as in X-plore. Coloring is nice, but can't seem to get pitch-black any way I try. Another thing crossed my mind - aility to save EQ-presets would also be nice:)

true - why is pitch black disabled ?

I would have already purchased Jukebox when it had more options to improve the sound. I'm thinking about something like EAX, which for example emulates the echoes within a "concert hall" on the PC.
So I hope to see an option in which you can activate different levels of echoes :)

also it would be realy nice if it was possible to install album covers without the use of the internet - via bluetooth or usb. or is this already possible ?

Good day, the phones symbianem 3rd FP1. They have much better sound than the LCG jukebox. Symbian FP1 has physiological correction and advanced stereo. And when they turn on bass and this really worth. And it is embedded in the player from nokie 95 set at maximum volume as the phone handle. So I would like to ask whether this will be the player LCG. Thank you
So if it allows symbian 3rd with fp1 so, it could cope with the LCG, I was very pleased if it was in the next version. Maybe just because Samsung G810 has chudobnou version of the player as opposed to n95. Missing equalizer and advanced stereo and physiological adjustment.
You and I have purchased are currently using it only on radio. Built in your Samsung g810 played better than LCG.
This is not a bad player and I look forward to the new improved version.

The problem: Internet radio via wifi. When the link stereo Bluetooth headset and the sound is choppy or no.

Hi, did not read the whole thread, so sorry if doubleposting.

skinsizing. when i open it on my e90 inside, the font is huge, and doesnt swith back when i close the phone. when i start it on the front screen and then open the e90, the font is nice and small.

Sleep timer with amplification curve - in a set amount of time, the volume goeas down to 0.

and Vice versa - a wakup timer, starting at low volume, and raising it.

Support for Bluetooth headset controls. The built in Nokia player accept all commands, but they wont work for the jukebox. i cant stretch this enough: i love the jukebox and hate the nokia player. so please keep an eye on that.

thanks.

the playlist seriously needs to be improved. I miss some features which even my handys standard player has.
There you can choose to open all songs from one interpret, or album, or genres for instance. These infos are read directly from the id3-tags. Far as I know in Jukebox its only possible to either open folders or playlists, which forces me to arrange the tracks on my PC properly.

The feature "Add tracks" is kinda useless, because I have to enter this menu again for each track one by one. It should be possible to mark all desired tracks and than adding these songs all at once (which closes the menu).

Further more I'd like to see the possibility to combine playlists. Maybe by hitting "Add tracks" it could be possible to choose m3u files, too ? just like in winamp.

And I miss the possibilty to edit id3 tags.

Still I don't know a better mp3 player, due to the excellent equalizer (well even that I'd wanted to be improved like already stated 3 posts above). Will there any improvement to this player soon which covers some of my points ? is jukebox even still in development ?
I need a good player soon!

Dear developer,

I'm one of Jukebox users and I've some idea hat I think should be added to Jukebox wishlist.

I'd second that! I think it should be included in the next version.
also Jukebox should be able to embed The album art and lyrics in the song Id3 tag, so every player could recognise the change.

Are these kind of features really hard to be implemented?

pretty much impossible, because there is no standard out there at the moment which would guarantee the compatibility between several players. id3 for example just isn't designed to hold complex data like pictures (cover) or hundreds of words (lyrics).
a new music format would be needed and this isn't the goal of lcg.

I'm not realy into this stuff, just "as far as I know" :)

wusste ichs doch.. kenne doch den satzbau - der is im englischen natürlich ein wenig anders und das können übersetzungsprogramme einfach nicht leisten. ich übersetz mal inhaltlich:

zippostar wanted to say that many radio stations won't work although they do work on other softwares he has on his N95. they refuse to start or there is an error message like "unknown format".
And he misses the support of wma files.

Well, if you're referring to Id3v1 that's pretty true, :D

--same here 'as far as I know' the embedded picture and lyrics is already implemented on id3v2. Most of my songs contain album art embedded on them, and LCG Jukebox just read & showed them fine.

The id3.org (id3 developer and standard maintainer) specified the maximum id3 tag size that can be held on a file is 256 megabytes with each frame size is limited 16 megabytes. :P

So several cover album and couple hundreds of words won't be so impossible. 8)

more info here http://id3.org/ID3v2Easy --It's a good explanation to ppl like us that might be not really in to this kind of tech stuff :P

As I've said before, LCG Jukebox is able to read id3v2 tags, but unfortunately can't save changes of them to the file. :(

id3 tag itself is already a mp3 tagging standard :D most player (that comply strictly to the specification) musn't have compability issue with each other.

Jukebox's feature is definitely great, to be able to find lyrics and album art with such intelegent in the internet. That is something very rare to be found on a mobile music player.

Well, uhmm dev, what do you think about my suggestion? Could it be implemented?
