Well ... I just unticked "Use Push email"

I doubt that is what you wanted me to do ...

Will be testing that way ...

funnyly when I untick "Use Push email", it seems to work better now
I find it a bit confusing to have to untick "Use Push email" to have mails pushed on the device

Also, I was thinking, is it possible to implement "view by conversation" in next release ?

Thank you

Keeping my testings

You should not disable push in the account settings.
You should disable update time in tools.

I never setup update time in tools
whatever I do, I always end to "connection closed by server"
I'm trying to use PM instead of native gmail app with my google account
PM used to work marvelously on my holy nokia e90 :(
no issue when connected in wifi though

+1
Notification tray is an excellent feature in Android and useless when using profimail.....Profimail only shows an icon of new message......

Hmm. I have a T-Mobile-branded Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant, with stock 2.1 OS. I have tried each beta version of PM on it, and none of that loads successfully. After each successful installation, I tap the PM icon and the screen goes totally black, except for the standard notification bar along the top. I've rebooted, uninstalled, reinstalled, etc., but nothing helps. Any ideas? Thanks!

(P.S. Been using PM on Symbian for years, even once described it on Handango as "the ideal Symbian application, what all apps should be!")

=D> Samsung Galaxy i9000

I like:

- "Push email connected" Icon. I must test it, i hope i can see when there is a connection Problem.
- With the App "no Led" i see on my Galaxy i9000 a Icon when a email arrived. (Not in Silent Mode)
- 8000 Mail Headers in 16 Folder, 2-3 Minutes for first Sync.

I dont like

- Is there a Autostartfunction?
- On the first start Profimail was really slow, i changed the Colour theme to grey and it works really fast now.
- No automatic reconnect when Connection lost
- Volume dont use System Standard, Volume can only be changed in Profimail.
- Back an Menu Button possible to hide.
- No vibration oder "no LED Notification" when the phone in Silent Mode

Edit: Its vibrate in Silent Mode when i read the Mail an leave it. Its vibrate to late.

- The battery usage is high, i
used Imap idle. Unplugged 10:00 am, now ists 09:30 pm an i have 30% battery. No calls, games or sms.

I don't see any option for unlock (v.3.32). How to register it?

First Post.

Details on this version:
This is normal ProfiMail as on other platforms, with 30 days trial mode, which can be purchased and unlocked (although we don't have special Android buy link yet, so if you really want to buy it now, put Symbian version to shopping card and use IMEI of your Android phone to continue in purchase). You can also transfer your license from other platform to Android using Support link on LCG website.
But ideally you use it in trial mode and wait until we finish testing and officially release Android version for sale.

Where exactly it doesn't work? What is left bar?

Sorry the right bar, the vertical scroll bar. When for example minbox was opened with long list of email headers, it was in earlier version possible to touch the scrolling bar and move it up and down. It was really quick to reach top or bottom of long email list. Now it takes quite long to scroll just by swype scolling.

We made the behavior identical with how Android works. Scroll bar is narrow, and scrolling is done only by sliding content.
Maybe we should return old behavior back? Or drawing scrollbar narrow, but reacting to wider area, so that it doesn't take much screen space, but still can be used by finger.

I think it would be nice to have back the scroll bar functionning as it was. It was really handy when having a long list of email in inbox. Now it takes quite a while as sliding the content is quite slow. or then to make the sliding faster. But something that allows to make it as fast as possible. Otherwise really great apps. I ve been using it on all my phones and thanks for all development.

Maybe you can take a look at the scrollbar in the GMX mailclient.
If you can make such a bar it would please everybody I think.

Cheers,
Dirk

It does not work on Samsung Galaxy S T-Mobile Vibrant (USA) (Android 2.1). The application starts then quits itself immediately.

I think the best solution would be like in the contacts page in android where the pad emerges when you start to scroll, so you can grab the list and move it up and down with the alphabetic view.

Can you also confirm if the fix to stop signature images appearing in the gallery has been implemented yet?

I really like the new looks, it look even better now and also the text in the menu look more crisp.
The on-screen menu and hide burton also seem more responsive now than with the old graphics
