I'm using PM 3.55 on Android/ICS 4.04 on Samsung Galaxy Nexus, before 4.0.1 but I'm not sure whether that was the same as now:

If I press the button "getting emails" (globe button) without having an internet connection available (i.e. using Juice Defender which switche internet off, when screen is locked for saving battery), than all the bottom menu buttons disappear.
To get the buttons back, it is necessary to restart PM.

See the enclosed pictures - one as normal and one after pressing the globe button without internet connection available.

I dont know whether that is an ICS/Android-Problem or PM ones.

We'll test on ICS 4.0.4 soon, it is not yet available here.

I also notice it. If you just type the bottom empty area, without releasing your pression and going elsewhere on the screen, they appear again.
Sometimes, i have the same kind of problem with little squares red and green and red) not blinking and progression bar not moving. I hav to press/move/release and it moves a little... somewhere a screen refresh ?
Existing for me since a while with LCG versions, and with 2.3.5, 4.0.1 and 4.0.4...
Even if it's not blocking, goodbto know i'm not alone (and better if solved m

I've seen this disappearing buttons behaviour, but haven't identified when it happens. I'm running Android 2.3.7.

Touching the area where the buttons are makes them appear again.
