Hi,

I'm using ProfiMail since a month or two. Really a great tool for Symbian, comparing to other build-in email client...

But i am using ProfiMail with a single account, with 2 main identities. One for work, one for family/friends. ProfiMail is working well with that. But i need to manually choose the identity I want to use before answering any mail. Is there any way to automatically choose the identity corresponding to the mail I am answering ? That's the only lacking thing for me :)

And thanks again for this great tool !

Regards,

Not possible now. We can try to add this, but what do you mean by "mail corresponding to identity"? How can ProfiMail detect which identity you'd like to use for sent message?

Hum, when I receive a mail for julien@blabla.com, I want to answer with the identity 'julien@blabla.com'. But when my chief is sending me mail to julien@myworkadress.com, I want to answer him with the identity 'julien@myworkadress.com'. You understand, I don't want to show my private mail adress to my chief ;).

I know that's bad to compare to desktop mail client, but thunderbird or outlook manage that. I think they are getting the destination mail adress, and if it's corresponding to an existing identity, they choose the corresponding identity. If no correspondance is found, they choose the default identity....

Regards,

Ok, that's easy change, we'll add it in next version 3.50+.
It will compare recipient's email address with identity email when replying/forwarding.

You might also want to consider the "X-Apparently-To:" in the header so that works with mailing-lists too
