Hello!

I am using Profi Mail on symbian^3 since a few month and generally I am conviniend with it.

But there is one unsolved issue: Profi-Mail does not download HTML-content until I open the email. I have installed a rule that Profi Mail has to download the whole mail, when the mail is smaller than 10000 KB.
It works well for the attachements but not for the HTML-content.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks a lot!

This is by design, html images are downloaded while viewing message.

Does that mean, it is not possible to get it down from the server by clicking on the send / receive-button anyway?

For explaining the issue: When I am in holiday I download all email after a few days at an wlan-acces-point and read it after leaving the acces-point what doesn't work with html. Pictures, attachments, anything is downloaded but not the html-content.

True, html images are not downloaded by Send/Receive function. Only while viewing message.

1 vote for adding "complete-html-download-function" in ProfiMail! This would be revolutionary! I know no other program that can do this! ProfiMail would get it's fame back! ;-) But I can imagine that this might be due to a very complicated technical implementation, so I do not put much hope in my vote...

On the other hand, I am a fierce user of ProfiMail but with all the new Clients out there it is becoming more and more difficult. What annoys me currently most, is the strange way of rendering of HTML mails. Why can't I see them complete, moving left and right, like on most other mobile e-mail clients? Of course for old mobiles it was practical to render the HTML so that it fits on the screen but nowadays there are more and more touch phones and ProfiMail is for sure loosing in this segment (also due to it's "touch-unfriendlyness")!

At least there should be an option to decide whether I want to use the rendering or if I want to browse through the email moving right/left/up/down (loosing the function "go to next/previous email by going right/left" - I have never used this function at all).

1 more vote for non-rendered HTML-mails!!! :-)

By the way, dear LCG-team, have you considered to create something like "desired functions" voting system - similar to the one QuickOffice uses?
Users could add "desired functions" somewhere in this forum and other users could vote for it... This would help you prioritize your projects and help us to understand why some functions do not exist...

Thanks a lot!

You are doing a great Job!
