Now X-plore for Android is completely reworked as native Android application.
Image

More information is on X-plore web page

Probably first question of Symbian users will be: why it's offered for FREE on Android, and it's paid application on Symbian, and even it looks better now.
The answer follows:
Android is different market, and we have to adapt to this. There's big competition regarding file managers (unlike on Symbian), so first we plan to get bigger user base, followed by adding PRO features in a future, where we can make profit. And after all, Symbian version can also be used for free, with just short delay of startup screen.
And also it's important to consider that developing for Symbian is programmer's nightmare, while for Android it becomes joy with available tools. So it's easier to write good apps on Android than on Symbian.

So enjoy new Xplore for Android, which (hopefully) looks and works like mobile file manager should.

This version is great.
I will observe it further but this is innovative and really practical.
Better than Astro I think.

Is this for tablets with android OS, particularly the Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 with Android Honeycomb 3?

Has anyone tried it on a Android tablet :?

Certainly it works on tablets, also on Android 4. And it is optimized for Honeycomb and higher.

This should work if the video is playable by Android (mp4 is typically supported, wmv may not be).

@admin; yes, I know that's why I'm not using the default player. I'm missing 'open by' functionality in the context menu, though. Coz this will allow me to stream my files with my prefered player then.

Good to hear… I'm attached to MoboPlayer. IMO, best player out there.

Edit : @admin; thanks for the latest upgrade

'open by' functionality in the context menu is missing everywhere... You can not open a simple text file... This is the first App where this feature is missing... really stupid...
